Beautiful UI, choppy performance

I appreciate the developers trying to enhance and "iOS 7"-ize an app for The Verge because the UI and performance of the app developed by The Verge is nothing to write home about.
However, articles on this app are slow and choppy to load, photos only occasionally feel like displaying and the sharing options are a little sketchy. (And no, Im not using a 28 kb/s dial-up modem.)
I think this app is a great idea and a step in the right direction, but it needs a bit more tweaking and QA-ing before its ready for prime time.
